This figure illustrates the LOD score plot of microsatellite markers along chromosome 7. This is a statistic plot that proved that this region of DNA was inherited through the family tree with the hereditary pancreatitis trait.
The hereditary pancreatitis gene was on the same chromosome as the cystic fibrosis gene, and at the exact location of the T-cell receptor beta chain gene.
